This smooth bore
fowling piece is adorned with raised carving, engraving and brass wire
inlay. The Queen Ann round face lock was finished armory
bright. The gun has a hooked breech and barrel keys to facilitate
easy cleaning. A gun of this type will handle either shot or
ball. The wide flat early butt plate makes it easy on the shoulder
even with heavy loads.
